John’s obituary in the PM Minutes only records that he laboured acceptably for 29 years.

John married Grace Bebb Newell (b1811) at Presteigne, Radnorshire in 1849. Census returns identify two children.

John died in 1869 at Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorganshire.
