Banningham Primitive Methodist chapel
Banningham Primitive Methodist chapel in the North Walsham circuit was opened on Christmas Day 1828 and the occasion was described by H Sharman in the Primitive Methodist Magazine. THe opening services were taken by Brother Batty.
Mr Rump (a respectable farmer) gave the land and the new chapel measured 18′(w) x 24′(l).
The Norfolk family tree Forum locates Banningham Prim chapel on Mill Road and Street View shows a former chapel there now, as a holiday let. I’m a little confused, as the 1885-6 1:2,500 Ordnance Survey map shows it as Wesleyan Reform. Was it sold? Was there another chapel?
