O.S. Map, date 1882-4, Methodist Chapel ( Primitive ), on Cheney’s Lane, Forncett St.Mary :
https://maps.nls.uk/view/120853958 …………… O.S. Map, date 1882-4, Methodist Chapel ( Primitive* ), Forncett End, Long Stratton Road, St. Peter. Chapel privately built and had burials :
* the word Primitive is not on the plaque, but if altered or replaced c.1932 yet date repeated; speculative possibility or not. See postings for Forncett St. Peter, e.g., Ranter’s Chapel, etc.

Forncett St. Peter it is then! Thank you for identifying my photo.

An article in the Christian Messenger 1908 on the Wymondham Circuit identifies the chapel in Rachel’s picture as Forncett St Peter.
The chapel at Forncett St. Mary is evidently a different one from the one in the picture I have, which clearly says ‘Primitive Methodist Church, Forncett’ underneath. From the map I can see that the village of Forncett has three areas of housing: Forncett St. Mary, Forncett St. Peter and Forncett End. I guess that the picture that I have is of Forncett End, since it appears a bit isolated, and in fact the account of Forncett St. Mary on the village website says that when that chapel closed the congregation transferred to Forncett End.
