Garvestone Primitive Methodist chapel
Dereham Road, Garvestone, NR9 4QT
Keith Guyler 1987
Garvestone Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in 1864. It was rebuilt/restored in 1892: a foundation stone carries the date.
The main building material is brick with red and yellow brick dressings on the three bay gabled front. There is a keystone entrance which was probably reset from the earlier chapel; this has been inscribed ‘COME 1864’.
The design is typical of many other local chapels.
It is still active in 2015 – with afternoon services in the winter and evening services in the summer.
