Helpringham Primitive Methodist chapel
Keith Guyler 1995

Helpringham Primitive Methodist chapel dates from 1840 and was rebuilt on the same site in 1883.  There are five memorial stones on the side facing the street, each dated 1883.

The 1884 Primitive Methodist magazine contains a note of the opening of the new Primitive Methodist chapel to replace the previous “plain, unpretending structure”. The new premises will cost £400 of which they had raised £150.

Although it was still in use at the time of Keith Guyler’s photograph in 1995 and Google Street View in 2009, by 2014 it had been converted into a house and you could have bought it for £205,000.
