Kingswood Primitive Methodist Chapel Cheshire

This rural chapel was erected in 1891

Kingswood is an area between Helsby and Kingsley. This chapel is in quite an isolated spot today but perhaps originally it was near a larger settlement.  Date of closure is unknown.  An extension has been added to the building and in 2015 the chapel has been converted into a dwelling.

  • This is now our family home. It looks rather different today, but from the road you only see a modest addition. What a lovely article to discover whilst home schooling during lockdown and searching for an OS Map!! We would love to find out more…. your gazetteer fails to mention that since 1976 this was the home to the great Maxton Engineering
