This ex-PM chapel is still open; it stands in a prominent place at a cross-roads in the village and is a focus for community activities.

There is an account by Edmund Butters and Michael Taylor in the 1836 Primitive Methodist magazine of the opening of an earlier Primitive Methodist chapel in Murrow It opened with services on September 11th and 13th 1835 when the preachers were J Lucas, G Tetley and Rev E Lefevere (Independent Minister)
