The chapel was built in 1847, according to the Andover Circuit archives.

The date is confirmed by an account in the Primitive Methodist magazine by Thomas Giles.  It opened on 18th July 1847.

  • I’ve added a transcription of the 1851 Census to the page. It tells us that a day school uses the same chapel building. The return was completed by William Snook, tailor and draper, of Netheravon, near Pewsey.
