Rainford (Ormskirk Road) Primitive Methodist Chapel

Plaque shows date of building to be 1883

This small brick built chapel has been extended at the rear. It probably closed some time during the last ten years. Initially it remained empty. Now in 2016 it is being used as a business centre by O2 the mobile phone company.

Comments about this page

  • The 1883 Primitive Methodist magazine contains an account of the laying of the foundation stones for a new Primitive Methodist chapel at Ramford (sic) in the St Helen’s station.

Ramford has to me a transcription error for Rainford – in the St Helens circuit.
