Rawcliffe (Stape) Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in 1876.  It is now a house.

• 24^th March 1854: John Young, of Newton upon Rawcliffe as Trustee of the Primitive Methodist Chapel Stape in the Township of Newton upon Rawcliffe of Pickering Union used as a Place of Meeting for Religious Worship for those called Primitive Methodists Registered 21^st April 1854
• 16^th March 1932: Between the Trustees of the Primitive Methodist Chapel, Stape and the Pickering Wesleyan Circuit Quarterly Meeting and Society at Rawcliffe for the use of the said P.M. Chapel pending the consummation of Methodist Union…. Agree to let, and the Pickering Wesleyan Meeting agree its responsibility, maintenance etc
• 22^nd January 1947: Stape Primitive Methodist Chapel sold £50, Pencil note Freehold 1851.
