Lichfield Circuit: Recreation Huts on Lichfield Circuit

‘There was a sudden rash of ex-army huts being erected, especially by the Primitive Methodists, for use as recreation centres in predominantly mining villages.  On the Primitive Methodist Lichfield Circuit huts were erected at Clayhanger, Norton Canes, Walsall Wood, Chase Terrace, Leighswood and Brownhills West.  All these were erected in 1920’. I am a volunteer researcher on a project tracing the history of the WW1 camps on Cannock Chase and would love to hear from anyone who has any  information, photographs or memories of these huts which may have been from Cannock Chase camp and could have been in use until quite recently.
