Rhostyllen, Wrexham, North Wales
vanished chapel
It has not been possible (as yet?) to locate a photograph of the demolished Primitive Methodist chapel in Rhostyllen, near Wrexham.
Local resident Victor Davies, who supplied the attached information and gave permission to use it, wrote: “The information I have published about the chapel was from a rare booklet about the history of Rhostyllen. The lady who wrote it has sadly passed away. The booklet is Rhostyllen Then and Now, compiled and published by Rebecca Angus (Women’s Institute), 1992.
Victor Davies also supplied these wedding photos with this note: “This is my Grandad (Vic Haynes) with his sister Gladys Haynes at her wedding in the 1950’s.”

The 1922 District Synod Handbook provides the following information.
Rhostyllen: one member’s home was open for 23 years for worship, and the chapel was built in 1883.
