Keith Guyler notes that the chapel was built in 1852 and rebuilt in 1905.
The Primitive Methodist magazine of June 1894records that the memorial stones for a new school room had been laid. Village chapels in the Hinkley circuit were endeavouring to develop similar accommodation to that of the head church in Hinkley.
It is still in use.

Stapleton Primitive Methodist Chapel was built of brick in 1905 and the school in 1852. By 1910 £520 had been spent on the buildings. From 1910 to 1932 the chapel seated 140.
In 1940 the accommodation comprised a chapel measuring 34 feet by 21 feet and seating 120 all in pews, school hall (20 feet by 16 feet). The chapel continues to be used as a Methodist place of worship. There is an image of the chapel on this website. Find Us (hinckleymethodistcircuit.org.uk)
