Thealby Primitive Methodist chapel dates from 1832 and served until 1933, immediately after Methodist union.

After it closed it was used for commercial purposes - JT Hire at the time of Keith Guyler's photograph. On Google Street View by 2009 it has become a substantially altered house.  It retains its stone tablet over the front door.
