Who were the Primitive Methodist architects?

A list of architects and the Primitive Methodist buildings they designed, in Yorkshire and some other counties

This list has been compiled from information supplied by Colin Dews.

Early Primitive Methodist chapels were largely simple, small and pragmatically designed, but as the Connexion grew and became more confident, the buildings also grew. Architects reputations grew too. Some such as Joseph Wright of Hull designed a considerable portfolio of chapels.

More information on each chapel is available on the chapel’s page on this site.  Architects are mentioned on other chapel pages too.

This list is not intended to be complete, rather to be a starting point. In the attached document the information is also presented arranged by location as well as arranged by architect’s name, as here.
