Mr. W. Newport, of Great Coxwell, Faringdon Circuit, was called suddenly August 13th, 1910, aged 71 years. Quiet, plodding, true, he will be greatly missed in the villages where for many, years he had been breaking the bread of life.

William was born in 1839 at Fyfield, Berkshire, to parents Henry and Maria. Henry worked the land.
