Jersey: Primitive Methodist Synod on Jersey 1914
Aquila Road Church
I have a photo of the Primitive Methodist Synod held at Aquila Road, Jersey in 1914. I didn’t even know there were any Primitive Methodists on Jersey! My grandfather (Rev Frank Davidson) is on the picture, so I think it must have been when he was minister in Petersfield or Basingstoke. Perhaps the Channel Islands were part of the same District.

We had the full spectrum of Methodism on Jersey – Primitives, Wesleyans and Bible Christians, and moreover we had five circuits (three English-speaking, two French-speaking). Aquila Road chapel is currently up for sale.
