George Tulip Scott (1875-1955)

WW1 Chaplain

Born in Gateshead, Tulip Scott trained for the ministry at Hartley College, before being stationed at Weymouth in 1902. From 1915-1917, Tulip Scott served as Chaplain to the forces in India and the Middle East, returning to Hexham at the end of the First World War.
