The conveyance of the chapel and land is dated 1862. I know nothing else about the history of this chapel, but it is likely it has some connection with the earlier work at Caer Estyn (q.v.). The chapel remains in use as a Methodist place of worship.

The 1922 District Synod Handbook provides the following information.

Caergwrle: the first chapel was given, but was small. The present church was built in 1914 at a cost of £1200.
