O.S. Map X1X.16, scale 25inch, Glamorgan, revised 1915, published 1920 : On High Street, Nelson, is Salem Chapel ( Prim Meth ). Not far away is Thomas Street and on a side turn is ‘Chap’.
The Builder, vol. 98, issue 3512, May 28th., 1910 : Page 617. CHAPEL, NELSON, GLAMORGAN.- A new Primitive Methodist Church is being built at Nelson. The building will cost about [£]1,000. The architects are Messrs. Davidson & Davidson, Newcastle & London, and the builder is Mr. John Thomas, Nelson.
