North Yorkshire Council holds records for Rosedale Abbey Primitive Methodist chapel from 1871 until 1949. It was then converted into accommodation -The Old Methodist Chapel. You can rent it for a holiday – see Trip Advisor.

Interestingly, although this chapel was closed, the more remote Ebenezer Primitive Methodist chapel built a little way outside the village to serve the Rosedale East Mine remains in active use.
