Eton Wick Primitive Methodist chapel
Keith Guyler 1994

The Information about the chapel can be found on the Thames Valley Circuit website – link below.

It was opened in 1886 and continues to serve.

The opening is recorded in the Primitive Methodist magazine of November 1886. It tells us that both chapel and schoolroom were opened, that the chapel was in the Maidenhead circuit and that they had raised half the cost at the time of opening.

  • The Circuit website has been updated to state that this chapel closed in January 2022 after 136 years of service. I have also added an earlier photograph of the chapel, which Mrs Annie Tough was associated. Indeed, she is probably the person portrayed.
