Rose Street Northfleet GRAVESEND DA11 9EQ

Wood Street Primitive Methodist chapel in Northfleet was opened in 1875. It is still active as the Rainbow Centre.
I don’t understand why a chapel called “Wood Street” has an address of Rose Street and according to Google Maps is actually on Station Road. Can anyone explain?

Thanks for the clarification Jean
Old Northfleet, which was a busy community on its own, with banks, post offices, shops and schools etc., up until the late 1960’s. However this all changed when it was totally redeveloped during the 1970s. One of the roads that disappeared was Wood Street which ran from the High Street down to Station Road (the top of the Road now left is in fact part of Wood Street). Wood Street chapel was on that Road hence its name. There are only a handful of the original buildings left, namely the Chapel, the Rose public house, the old police station and the School Rooms.
