Hemsby Primitive Methodist chapel
Martham Road Hemsby NR29 4LS

The Primitive Methodist magazine of October 1838 has a report by John Smith which dates the opening of Hemsby Primitive Methodist chapel as 1830. He tells us that when built in 1830 it was designed for Primitive Methodist use but the private owner favoured another society. However, in 1835 the Prims purchased the chapel for £60
The Hemsby Primitive Methodist chapel in Mr Guyler’s picture is a later building, opened in 1879.
It is still active in August 2015.
