The first Great Cressingham Primitive Methodist chapel dates from 1856.

A replacement was built in 1932 and the original chapel demolished.  The new chapel was refurbished in 1997.  It is still active in 2015.

In Keith Guyler's notes with his photograph, the village is called Great Gressingham but despite the Gressingham duck I can't find the name on various maps.  Is this a local alternative to the name?

location: 849016 at the junction of The Street with Chalk Hill.
