Lily Boston of Hough, Cheshire
1900-1989
Lily Boston grew up in the cottage next door to Hough Chapel, in Cobbs Lane, where her parents were the caretakers.
She had a beautiful contralto singing voice, and loved singing at special services in the chapel.
When she died, her family gave this vase to Hough Chapel in memory of Lily. The chapel has now closed for worship but is still used to support the work of the Museum of Primitive Methodism.
