Miles Green Primitive Methodist Chapel Miles Green Road Staffordshire

This chapel was built in 1880

Date of closure for worship is unknown but the property was being sold by a local estate agent for £125,000 in 2009.

In December 2015 the rear part of the building is inhabited and one presumes that the chapel area will be refurbished to complete the change from a place of worship to a dwelling.

The last two photos taken in 2020 by Miss Kate Taylor  show the improvements to the chapel building since 2015.

  • The 1894 Primitive Methodist magazine (page 798) tells us that the memorial stones for a new schoolroom at Miles Green have been laid. It is positioned behind the chapel and on two floors. The society was flourishing and they hoped to open the schoolroom free of debt.
