‘As a token of gratitude for services rendered to King and Country during the Great War, 1914-19’, this book was presented to W Eldin ‘by the Officials and Friends’ of the Primitive Methodist Chapel in Albion Street, Dalehall.

The bookplate is on the inside front cover of a copy of The Primitive Methodist Hymnal, compiled by a Committee appointed by the Conference of 1882, published by J Johnson, PM Publishing House, London (1886).
