1857 chapel openings and more

Index of 1857 Primitive Methodist Magazine accounts of chapel openings, re-openings and foundation-stone laying

In 1857 there were 38 accounts of chapel openings, re-openings and foundation stone laying.

In Scotland the chapel at Calderbank was paid for by the local Iron Company.

Chapels did not take long to build; at Malkins Bank near Sandbach and at Hart’s Hill near Brierley Hill, it took just four months between foundation stone laying and the opening ceremonies.
