Softley, William (b abt1840)

Of Bircham

Whilst researching my wifes family history I have found that one of her relations is shown on the 1891 census as an Agricultural Labourer and Primitive Methodist Local Preacher. William Sofley was born about 1840 in Hillington, Norfolk, and in 1891 lived at Bircham Magna, Norfolk. In 1901 he was still living in Bircham Magna and is shown as a Greengrocer / Fish Hawker. In 1901 his son, also called William, is living in Newport, Shropshire, and his occupation is Primitive Methodist Minister.
