Styal Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in 1821 . The 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious Worship tells us that the chapel, although not a separate and entire building was used exclusively a s a place of worship. It accommodated 60 people.
The return was completed by Daniel Hume, the steward.
I cannot see the chapel on Nineteenth Century Ordnance Survey maps of Styal. Where was it and what happened to it?
