The return from Penponds Primitive Methodist chapel to the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious worship tells us that Penponds Primitive Methodist chapel in Camborne parish was erected in 1825.
The chapel held 96 people, 64 in free seats. Services were only held on Sunday afternoons because the Wesleyan and Bible Christian chapels in the same village had morning and evening services.
The return was completed by Richard Phillips, elder and chapel steward..
