Return from Newbottle Primitive Methodist chapel in the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious Worship

On the 1895 Ordnance Survey map a Primitive Methodist chapel is shown on Back Lane, (now South Street). There was a Wesleyan chapel on Front Street.

The chapel, known as Newbottle Bourne, closed in 1962 and the premises were leased out. The building was sold on 22 Jan 1976
