On Chapel Street in Toronto, County Durham, is a former Primitive Methodist chapel. Street View in 2009 shows it in use as storage.
It has kept its original chapel shape and its side windows.
The Durham at War Collection at the Fitzhugh Library has a note that Mrs AW Parkin of Witton le Wear unveiled a First World War Memorial brass tablet in the chapel probably in 1921.
When was the chapel built? It appears on the 1896 Ordnance Survey map and in 1939 is still marked as an active Methodist chapel. When did it close?
