Stanley Common Zion Primitive Methodist chapel

The memorial stones for a new Primitive Methodist chapel at Stanley Common in the Ilkeston station were laid in 1889. It replaced an earlier chapel on the same site built in 1856.

The builders of the second chapel expected to have raised at least half of the cost by the time of opening.

The chapel closed in 1964. There is modern housing on the site .
