Thanks to  Raymond E. O. Ella  for this extract from The Building and Engineering Journal.

“Memorial stones of a new Primitive Methodist Chapel at Swanick [Swanwick] near Alfreton were laid on Tuesday week. It replaces an older building on the same site,- will be Gothic in style, the facing material being brick and stone; 300 sittings will be provided and the cost ilwl [will] be about £1,000. Messrs. Brown & Simpkin of Eastwood are the contractors.”

The 1898 Ordnance Survey map shows the chapel  Pentrich Road. Street View in 2009/2016 shows in in use as Swanwick Pre-School.  It still carries its 1880 datestone.
