Pillowell Primitive Methodist Church 1885
2nd chapel built 1885
A Primitive Methodist chapel was built in Pillowell in 1835, when there were around 30 cottages. A second, larger chapel opened on a new site in 1885.
In 1885 the demand for a new chapel was met with the opening of a second, larger Pillowell chapel built on land bounded on the south in part by a road leading to Kidnall’s Wood, and Yorkley on the East and on all other sides by open forest.
The chapel is still open for worship in 2021.
