At the time of the Return to the Census of Places of Public Religious Worship, the Primitive Methodists of Ferryhill were worshipping in a dwelling house, possibly belonging to the person who signed the Return – George Segar, a Dealer in Earthenware aged 58 who lived in the town with his wife Ann and his two sons, three stepsons, and two daughters.
