The return from the Primitive Methodist preaching place at Lydlinch near Sturminster Newton to the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious worship was completed by William Ryall. The average attendance at weekly services was 35 people.
We are told that the preaching place was actually a dwelling house.
I cannot see a Primitive Methodist chapel on the 1900 Ordnance Survey map. Was one ever built?
