In 1851, Much Hoole Primitive Methodist society was meeting in in a room 24′ by 21′. The preaching place accommodated 90 and on Census Sunday there was a morning attendance of 50 with 54 in the evening service. This was rather fewer than the usual attendance.
William Wignall, the society steward completed the return from the Primitive Methodist preaching place to the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious worship.
