The 1851 Census of Public Places of Religious Worship contains a report for a Primitive Methodist preaching place in Corsley in the Warminster District.

The services were held in part of dwelling house that was occasionally used as a chapel. 17 people attended the service in the afternoon and 30 in the evening.

The report is completed by Benjamin Jennings, a Class Leader.
