In the 1842 volume of the Primitive Methodist magazine there are 40 openings, re-openings and foundation stone layings reported. This included 35 openings, 3 re-openings and four foundation stone layings.

At Shropshire Row, Bilston, they had to revise the building plans by adding a gallery as the congregation grew over the building period.

At Bilston they built a tower at the front of the chapel for a town clock.

At Allenheads, the chapel was converted from three cottages.
