1879 Ewerby Primitive Methodist chapel
Keith Guyler 1995

Although there had been an earlier chapel in the village, Ewerby Primitive Methodist chapel in Keith Guyler’s picture dates from 1879 and served until 1980. By the time of the picture it was in residential use as Chapel House.

The 1879 Primitive Methodist magazine tells us they were working on a new Primitive Methodist chapel at Everby in the Sleaford station to replace the previous meeting places.  Services had been held in the village for over 50 years. The land was given by the Hon MEG Finch Hatton

Everby turns out to be Ewerby.
