Editor’s note [CH]: JT Shepherd tells us in the Primitive Methodist magazine of 1870 (page 568) that the foundation stone for Grayingham Primitive Methodist Chapel was laid on 12th January 1870 and the chapel opened on Sunday 24th April 1870. Mr Shepherd was the preacher.
Thanks were due to G Wray Esq. for the gift of the site, Mr Summers for lime, Mrs Copeman for a £5 donation and Mr W Slightholme for the loan of his barn for our teas and public meetings.
