The first Potterhanworth Primitive Methodist chapel in Banff Road dates from 1830.

The second Potterhanworth Primitive Methodist chapel also in Banff Road dates from 1888. The Lincs to the past website says the  chapel was built in 1830, enlarged in 1872 and closed in 1944. Keith Guyler’s notes say “1946 Aldersgate to Wesley Hall 1962.” The chapel finally closed for Methodist worship  in August 2008. It was to be sold in 2010. On Street View in 2012 it is little changed but overgrown.

At the time of Keith Guyler’s photograph in 1996 the first chapel was derelict. On Google Street View in 2012 it is in use as a house – The old Chapel.  It was sold for £125,000 in 2014
