The 1883 Primitive Methodist magazine tells us they had laid the foundation stones for a new Primitive Methodist school/chapel at “a good freehold site” in Cobbold Road, Forest Gate. The building would cost £700 of which they had raised £400.The site was large enough to erect a chapel later on.
They had previously met in a tent and then in a house in Cobbold Road. Cobbold Road is now much truncated and I can see no sign of a chapel on contemporary Ordnance Survey maps.
