The church is sited where Sixth Avenue joins Romford Road. It is on that site on the 1895 Ordnance Survey Plan, but with a small footprint. By the 1919 map it is a larger building. It is still labelled as Methodist in 1961.

The 1902 Primitive Methodist magazine reports that “at Manor Park East London, the Rev RS Blair has lately opened his new church and schools. These premises have cost over £5000 and are remarkably cheap at the price.”  They anticipated that the outstanding debt on opening would be around £2000 with much of that loaned by the Church Extension Fund.  The previous chapel was an iron one

On Street View in 2008/2019 the building still exists.  Its present life is as the Celestial Church of Christ, Seventh Year Parish.
