East Runton Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in initially in 1845 or 54. A second chapel was opened in 1897, reported in the Primitive Methodist magazine. It was described as “a semi-Gothic structure with accommodation for about 120 persons and its cost  is about £450. The foundation stones were laid on  April 19th, Easter Monday 1897.

The church is still in operation in 2015.  The church website contains information about its history.
