This is the ex-PM Chapel at Rockland St Peter, which has been extended and turned into a house. The sign outside says ‘The Chapel’ and two of the graves are visible. My great-grandfather, Rev. James Davidson, was minister here 1883-4 and again 1902-5.
(added CH)The Primitive Methodist chapel in Rockland St Peter was opened in 1859. It boasted a first floor gallery. Regular activities included a Youth Club, a Sunday School and Meetings of the Band of Hope.
After closure it was converted into a house and in 2011 application was made for planning permission for further alterations. n It sold for £360,000 in June 2014.

My great grandparents were married at the Primitive Methodist Chapel, Rockland St. Peter.
Charles BARHAM age 22, blacksmith of Scoulton, married Jane Keziah Tolman LEVERIDGE on 24 December 1872. Charles was the son of Charles BARHAM, carpenter, and his wife Sarah PEASE. A Christmas Eve wedding. Witnesses: John BARHAM (Charles’ brother b.1847, Scoulton), Lucy ALLEN (John Barham’s future wife). No father given for Jane, but I know that her father was William Tolman Leveridge, a farrier. William Crown was Minister, David Reeve was Registrar. Jane’s age is hard to read on original copy of Marriage Certificate. She must have been 15!
Sadly, in 1878, Charles, only 29 years old, died of “acute bronchitis 11 days” at Great Witchingham, leaving Jane with 3 small children, Bertha b. 1874, William b.1876, and baby Julia b.1878 (my grandmother). Jane took her little girls to live with her grandparents, Samuel and Kezia Tolman in Thompson, where they ran the village shop, and little William went to live with his Barham grandparents.
Life was hard back then.

My great grandparents were married in this chapel 5th November 1896!

My 3rd Gt uncle is reported to be buried at the front of your house, Rev David Newton: 1840-1879. He was the minister there up until his death.
Relatives in the Saunders family lived in Gt Ellngham and were buried here. Are they still there or have they been moved.?
I uploaded pictures of them and their membership cards. They married C of E but changed for some reason
