Northampton St James’s Hall Primitive Methodist preaching place

St James' Hall, 3.8.2019
A building called St James’s Hall was used by Primitive Methodists in the Harlestone Road area from 1892 to 1899 when they moved to their new chapel further up Harlestone Road. This can only mean the hall attached to St James Church which is now used as day nursery.

This picture is incorrect. The building shown is associated with the Anglican church of St James. The 1899 OS map clearly shows St James Hall on the corner of Althorp Road and St James Road https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=18.0&lat=52.23993&lon=-0.91492&layers=168&b=1&marker=52.239696,-0.914600 The building still stands and has been used as a cafe, library and bank over the years.
